Set-up Process:
1. Review entire process before moving forward. 2. Fill out New Trading Partner Form and submit to the EC Support Team.
3. Upon receipt of this document, an EC Support Representative will contact you to initiate the process.
4. Review M&M/Mars Documentation for the transactions desired. If you need further guidance with EDI formatting, please contact your MASTERFOODS Sales Representative.
5. M&M/Mars UPC and Price Information will need to be loaded into your database before trading can begin. Please contact your MASTERFOODS Sales Representative.
6. After set-ups on both Trading Partners' systems hahve been completed, the test process will begin.
Testing Process:
1. During the test phase, it is importatnt to use the M&M/Mars Test IDs. 2. The partner is required to send three successful test before moving into production. Each test should contain at least one case of each item. A list of UPCs can be obtained from your MASTERFOODS Sales Representative.
3. It is important to keep in mind that during the test process, the actual purchase orders will still need to be transmitted via the traditional method (fax, phone, or mail). Please view the Communication Schedule for M&M/Mars send and receive times.
4. After three successful test, the partner is then moved into production and the traditional method will cease. The time frame for the testing process depends how quickly the partner is able to generate three successful tests. The testing process can range from three days to one month.
